Specialist TAG Heuer Services
Chronograph Hand Resetting
On quartz and mechanical Chronographs (like the Link or F1), hands often drift and fail to reset to 12 o’clock. We recalibrate the stepper motors on quartz models and adjust the hammer and heart cams on mechanical calibres to ensure a perfect zero reset.
Crown & Tube Replacement
Common on the Formula 1 and Aquaracer series, the screw-down crown threads often strip due to cross-threading or debris. We extract the damaged tube from the case and install a genuine replacement to restore the water-tight seal.
Monaco Crystal Sealing
The square case of the Monaco makes water resistance difficult to maintain. We use specialized square dies and gaskets to press-fit the acrylic or sapphire crystal correctly, ensuring the corners do not become entry points for moisture.
Bezel Mechanism Repair
If your unidirectional bezel (on an Aquaracer or Professional) has seized or spins freely without clicking, the click-spring has likely failed. We disassemble the bezel assembly, clean out accumulated grit, and replace the ratchet spring for a crisp, tactile click.

Specialist Care for your TAG Heuer
Our workshop handles hundreds of TAG Heuer timepieces, giving us unique insight into their specific engineering quirks.
We are particularly experienced with the Calibre 5 movement (based on the ETA 2824/Sellita SW200), found in the Aquaracer and Carrera. A very common issue we resolve is the reversing wheels seizing. This causes the rotor to spin rapidly when you manually wind the watch (often called the “helicopter effect”), which can damage the movement. We inspect and replace these wheels as standard during a service.
Additionally, on older Formula 1 models with plastic bezels and guards, we frequently see debris buildup preventing the crown from screwing down. We use ultrasonic cleaning to clear the threads before assessing if a tube replacement is necessary, saving you money on unnecessary parts.

Frequently asked questions
Likely not. This is a common de-synchronization issue on quartz models (like the Formula 1) often caused by battery changes or magnetism. We can usually recalibrate this electronically without opening the watch. If the hands are physically loose, however, a repair is needed.
Mechanical movements like the Calibre 5 should be serviced every 5 to 7 years. If you notice the watch running more than 20 seconds fast or slow per day, or if the power reserve lasts less than 30 hours, it is time for a service.
Yes. We take water resistance seriously. We replace all seals and use a dry and wet pressure tester to verify the watch is water-resistant to its rated depth (e.g., 300m). We provide a printout of the test results.
Yes. The iconic Link bracelet is notoriously difficult to repair due to its integrated design. Unlike many jewellers who will tell you to buy a new bracelet, we have the expertise to disassemble and repair loose or broken links.
We offer a 2-year warranty on all TAG Heuer servicing. This covers all work carried out and parts replaced, ensuring your watch performs perfectly on the track or in the ocean.
