Oris Watch Repairs & Servicing
Independent specialists in Oris. Using genuine parts or Swiss-grade equivalents and OEM standard tooling to restore your “High Mech” timepiece to factory specifications.

Lancashire’s Premier Independent Oris Specialists
Oris is unique in the Swiss landscape—an independent brand dedicated solely to mechanical watches. From the depth-rated Aquis to the aviation-focused Big Crown ProPilot, these “Real Watches for Real People” are built to be worn, not hidden in a safe. However, the daily grind takes a toll on even the signature Red Rotor. You need a partner who understands the nuances of the Calibre 400’s twin barrels and the specific bronze alloys of the Carl Brashear editions. At Prime Time Watch Repairs, we provide dealer-level care, ensuring your Oris performs flawlessly without the 12-week manufacturer waiting list.

- Ultrasonic Cleaning: Multi-stage chemical cleaning to remove congealed oils and metal debris.
Part Replacement: Replacement of minor wear parts (if needed) using genuine Oris components. - New Mainspring: Installation of a fresh mainspring to ensure optimal torque (essential for the 5-day power reserve on Calibre 400).
Movement Re-assembly: Precision rebuilding using synthetic oils (e.g., Moebius 9010) specific to high-beat movements. - Regulation: Timing checks and regulation in 6 positions to ensure accuracy within factory tolerances.
- Refinishing: Watch case and bracelet are stripped for professional polishing (Note: We treat bronze cases with specific care to reset or preserve patina as requested).

- Quality Control: A 7-day cyclical test on a winder before return, complete with a 2-year warranty and complimentary watch pouch.

Specialist Oris Services
Bronze Case Patina Reset
Oris is famous for its bronze models (Carl Brashear, Big Crown). If the oxidation has become uneven or you wish to start fresh, we can chemically “reset” the bronze to its original rose-gold hue without damaging the metal integrity.
Pointer Date Calibration
The Pointer Date complication is an Oris signature. If the date hand misaligns or doesn’t snap over precisely at midnight, we adjust the jumper spring and calendar wheel interface to ensure crisp, accurate date indication.
Depth Gauge Cleaning
The Aquis Depth Gauge uses a physical hole in the crystal to let water in. This channel can get clogged with salt and debris, causing inaccurate readings. We have the ultrasonic tools to purge this channel safely and ensure clear legibility.
Safety Clasp Repair
The Aquis rubber strap features a titanium adjustable clasp that often jams due to sand ingress. We strip the clasp assembly, clean the sliding mechanism, and replace the spring bars to ensure your watch stays secure on the wetsuit.
Other Oris Services
Specialist Care for your Oris
Oris watches are built tough, but they have specific quirks we are well-versed in.
We are particularly experienced with the Oris 733 / Sellita SW200 movement found in the majority of Aquis and Diver 65 models. A common issue is the “spinning rotor” caused by sticky reversing wheels. This can damage the automatic winding train. We replace these wheels as standard during a service to prevent future failure.
With the new Calibre 400, we understand the unique slide bearing system on the rotor (which replaces the traditional ball bearing). We inspect this slide bearing for wear to ensure the 10-year service interval promise remains a reality. We also frequently resolve issues with stripped lug screws on the Aquis, using specialist extractors to remove the damaged screw without harming the case threads.

Frequently asked questions
For standard movements (Oris 733/Sellita), we recommend a service every 4 to 6 years. For the new Calibre 400, Oris suggests a 10-year interval, but we recommend a check-up and pressure test every 5 years to ensure seals are intact.
Yes. We can chemically clean the bronze case to return it to its original bright, shiny state. However, the patina will naturally return over time as the metal reacts with the air and your skin—this is the charm of bronze!
This usually happens if the quick-set date was used between 9 PM and 3 AM, damaging the calendar driving wheel. We can repair this by replacing the damaged calendar wheels and realigning the hand.
Rated to 100m, the Divers Sixty-Five is capable of swimming, but only if the seals are good. We pressure test all divers to their rated depth. If it fails, we replace the caseback, crystal, and crown gaskets.
We offer a 2-year warranty on all Oris servicing. This covers all work carried out and parts replaced, ensuring your “High Mech” watch is ready for the next adventure.
