Specialist Breitling Services
Specialist Care for your Breitling
Breitling movements are workhorses but like everything mechanical they require maintenance over time to keep them performing at their best.
Watch seals also need checking to keep your timepiece water resistant so it is worth keeping on top of that when exposing your watch to moisture.
We offer free health checks if you want to pop in and have a chat.

Frequently asked questions
If it is an automatic or mechanical watch we usually recommend every 5 years. For quartz every time the battery is replaced we check the health of the components.
I would recommend getting the seals checked every 1-2 years. Seals can deteriorate over time so it is worth getting them checked.
We get asked this quite a lot. On initial wear (when its wound down) then we recommend giving it about 20-30 winds. This means the mainspring will be fully wound giving out maximum power and better timekeeping, when you then wear the watch the automatic rotor will take over and keep the watch wound.
You shouldn’t have to wind it everyday providing you are wearing the watch and are active enough to keep it wound.
We would always advise against using hot tubs and saunas as the extreme temperature change to the case can affect the water resistance.
Absolutely! Many people have more than one watch, one thing we would advise is not to leave it on the winder working all day every day. For instance when we test our watches our winder is only on during shop hours (8 hours a day) simulating realistically how much you may move during a day. It isn’t healthy for a watch to be a maximum wind all the time as it can put unnecessary strain on components.
