Full Tudor Watch Service
Here at Prime Time, we specialise in the repair and servicing of all Tudor models, from vintage Oyster Princes to the latest Black Bay 58. All work is carried out on-site in our state-of-the-art workshop. We offer a comprehensive 2-year warranty on all our Tudor servicing.
A full service includes:
- Complete Disassembly: Stripping down the watch movement to the individual bridge and wheel.
- Ultrasonic Cleaning: Multi-stage chemical cleaning to remove congealed oils and metal debris.
- Part Replacement: Replacement of minor wear parts (if needed) using genuine Tudor components.
- New Mainspring: Installation of a fresh mainspring to ensure the 70-hour power reserve (on Manufacture calibres) is maintained.
- Movement Re-assembly: Precise rebuilding using synthetic oils (e.g., Moebius 9010) specific to high-beat movements.
- Regulation: Timing checks and regulation in 6 positions to meet COSC standards (-4/+6 seconds per day).
- Refinishing: Watch case and bracelet are stripped for professional polishing (Note: We respect the “chamfers” on vintage cases and the satin finish on Pelagos titanium).
- Resealing: The watch is re-cased with new gaskets and pressure tested (Crucial for dive models like the Pelagos LHD).
- Quality Control: A 7-day cyclical test on a winder before return, complete with a 2-year warranty and complimentary watch pouch.

Specialist Tudor Services
Titanium Refinishing
The Pelagos is made of Grade 2 Titanium, which scratches differently than steel and oxidizes to a dark grey. We use specific abrasive compounds to restore the matte, industrial finish without creating shiny spots, preserving the tool-watch aesthetic.
Anodised Aluminium Tube Repair
Many Black Bay models feature a coloured anodised aluminium crown tube (the coloured ring between the case and crown). This aluminium can corrode due to saltwater or sweat. We can replace this specific tube to restore the pop of colour and water resistance.
“Snowflake” Hand Reluming
On vintage Submariners, the large surface area of the “Snowflake” hands often causes the tritium lume to crack and fall out. We can stabilize the original lume or color-match new Super-LumiNova to blend seamlessly with your vintage dial.
Chronograph Pusher Repair
The screw-down pushers on the Big Block and modern Black Bay Chrono are essential for water resistance. If the threads strip or the internal gaskets fail, we can rebuild the pusher assembly to ensure the chronograph remains sealed.

Specialist Care for your Tudor
We have followed Tudor’s evolution from using off-the-shelf movements to their own in-house manufacture, and we are equipped for both.
We are particularly experienced with the “Rose” vs “Shield” era Black Bays. The earlier ETA-based models (Rose logo) are becoming collectible. A common issue is the winding bridge wear on the ETA 2824 due to manual winding, which we inspect as standard.
For the modern Manufacture Calibres (MT56xx series), we are equipped to handle the silicon hairspring. Unlike traditional springs, these cannot be manipulated or “tweaked” if bent; they must be handled with extreme care and non-magnetic tools. We also frequently resolve issues with the Pelagos spring-loaded clasp, which can jam due to sand or grit accumulation, restoring the smooth self-adjustment function.

Frequently asked questions
If your in-house Tudor (MT5602) is not hitting its 70-hour power reserve, it usually indicates that the mainspring is “tired” or the automatic winding weight axle is dry, preventing it from winding efficiently on your wrist. A service will resolve this.
Yes, but it requires a different technique to steel. Standard polishing makes titanium look shiny and wrong. We use a specific satin-finishing process to restore the matte, gunmetal look of the Pelagos while removing scratches.
Yes. These watches use the legendary Valjoux 7750 movement. We are experts in servicing these, ensuring the chronograph start/stop mechanism is crisp and the rotor spin is smooth.
Tudor is a sister brand to Rolex and famous for the Oyster case. We pressure test all Tudors to their rated depth (e.g., 200m for Black Bay, 500m for Pelagos) and provide a printout of the results.
We offer a 2-year warranty on all Tudor servicing. This covers all work carried out and parts replaced, ensuring your watch is ready for everyday wear.
