Nationwide Watch Repair Service. Secure, Insured, & Simple.
We serve clients from London to the Highlands. Follow our secure process to have your watch serviced by a FBHI Accredited time served watchmaker, without leaving your home.

How it Works: From Your Door to Our Workshop.
1. Book Your Repair
The first step is simple. Please complete our online booking form with your details and information about your watch. Once submitted, we will email you back with a unique reference number and further instructions on how to proceed.
2. Pack Your Watch Securely
Safety is paramount. Wrap your watch generously in bubble wrap. Please do NOT send the original presentation box, as these are heavy to post and can be damaged in transit. A small, sturdy cardboard box or a padded jiffy bag inside a box is ideal. (See our Packaging Guide below).
3. Post Via Royal Mail Special Delivery
Take your package to your local Post Office and ask for Royal Mail Special Delivery. This is the industry standard for shipping jewellery. It is tracked, signed for, and importantly, offers insurance coverage up to £750 (which can be increased to £2,500, £10,000 or £20,000 if needed).
Send to: Prime Time, The Design Shed, Cedar Farm, Mawdesley, Lancashire, L40 3SY
4. Safe Arrival & Diagnostics
Once your watch arrives, we will inform you to confirm receipt. It is then logged into our secure system. Steven and the team will perform a physical inspection and diagnostic test. We will then call you with a final, fixed quote for the work.
5. Expert Repair & Servicing
Only after we receive your approval do we begin work. If you decide not to proceed, we simply charge a small admin/return postage fee (£15) and send it back. If you go ahead, we complete the repair, pressure testing, and quality control steps.
6. Invoice & Secure Return
Upon completion, we will email you an invoice which can be paid via Bank Transfer or card payment using Stripe. Once payment is received, we post your watch back to you using the same fully insured Royal Mail Special Delivery service (Next Day by 1pm), ready to be back on your wrist.
How to Package Your Watch
To ensure your watch travels safely, please follow these “Best Practice” packing instructions used by dealers and collectors.
- Protect the Watch: Wrap the watch head in several layers of bubble wrap. If it has a metal bracelet, place bubble wrap or foam between the case back and the bracelet to prevent them rubbing together.
- Use a Sturdy Box (or Thick Jiffy Bag): Place the bubble-wrapped watch inside a small, rigid cardboard box. This prevents the watch from being crushed if a heavy parcel lands on it. If this is not possible, a thick Jiffy Bag will suffice.
- No “Fragile” Stickers: It sounds counter-intuitive, but do not write “WATCH” or “ROLEX” on the outside of the box. This attracts unwanted attention. Address it simply to “Prime Time”.
- Include Your Details: Inside the box, please include a printed note or handwritten letter with:
- Your Full Name
- Return Address
- Telephone Number & Email Address
- A brief description confirming the fault (e.g., “Losing 5 minutes a day”).

Postal Service FAQs
Yes. We receive watches daily from all over the UK. We strictly recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery because it stays in a separate, secure network within the postal system and is handled far less than standard mail. It is the only method most insurance companies approve for jewellery.
The standard Special Delivery fee includes £750 of cover. You can pay a small extra fee (usually £1–£3) at the Post Office counter to increase this to £1,000 or £2,500. If your watch is worth more (e.g., £15,000), ask specifically for “Consequential Loss” cover or higher tier insurance at the counter.
No. Unless we are conducting a warranty repair for a specific brand that requires it, please keep your warranty cards and papers at home. We only need the watch itself.
If we assess your watch and you decide the repair cost isn’t for you, that is absolutely fine. We charge a flat fee of £15.00 to cover the diagnostics and the insured return postage to get the watch back to you safely.
We do not take payment upfront. We will invoice you via email once the work is complete and the watch has passed quality control. You can pay securely via BACS (Bank Transfer).
To keep our turnaround times fast and costs low, we do not send out empty “repair packs.” We find most customers prefer to simply wrap the watch and head to the Post Office the same day, rather than waiting days for a box to arrive.
